Description
It is faster to move around with hiking skis than with regular snowshoes. The skis are wide enough to support the skier on top of the snow and thus require less energy. Twin tip skis are easy to use in deep snow and allow for backward movement, and the tapered tail adds control.
The good grip on the ski moderately moderates the speed, but does not prevent sliding. The hiking skis also have the same steel edges as traditional alpine skis. Thanks to this, they are easy to control on icy slopes. Altai Hok skis work best with Pivot bindings which are pre-installed.
Pivot bindings
Pivot binding has a hinge structure. The bandage is compatible with most shoes, such as hiking boots, rubber boots or winter sneakers. Easy to adjust. Pivot bandage is suitable for shoe sizes 35–47.5. You do not need tools to adjust the length of the bindings.
