For storage: Roll Manduka PRO® mats with the top side (fabric finish) facing out. This keeps the corners of the mat flat as you practice.
Breaking in: The surface texture of Manduka PRO mats improves with use. The best way to break your mat is practice, practice, practice! But if you want to speed things up a bit, try the salt method. Spread coarse salt on the mat, rinse with a wet sponge and leave to dry, preferably in the sun.
For cleaning: Keep your mat in the best condition by wiping it after each practice with Manduka All-Purpose Wash. It is specially formulated to clean your mat without damaging the surface or causing slippage. DO NOT soak, shower or immerse in water.
Manduka PRO series yoga mats are designed to last a lifetime (or two) and limit the number of PVC mats that end up in landfills each year and REDUCE overall mat consumption. During the manufacture of most PFC products, toxic emissions can be released into the air.
